The soothing warmth will last about 20–25 minutes — the amount of time most often recommended for heat application. Do you prefer to cool things down? No problem! Your pack can also be chilled in the freezer.

Made to order in a 100% cotton fabric with a creamy winter white background and beautiful stylized trees in pastel shades of caramel, mint, and violet. The interplay of positive and negative space is reminiscent of watercolor paintings and delicate woodblock prints. It really is a gorgeous fabric.

~ Why rice?

Your pack starts with a sturdy cotton muslin liner filled with heat-retentive rice and sectioned into three parts so the heat stays where you need it. Rice absorbs moisture from the air between uses, giving you a nice moist, penetrating heat every time.

~ No added scent

The only scent is the rice itself. After heating, you can tuck a small sachet of lavender, peppermint, or even your favorite herbal tea bag into the opening of the cover to add aromatherapy benefits. The advantage of this approach is that your pack will last for years, but herbs don't hold up to repeated microwaving, so, when your sachet is spent, you only need to replace that, not your entire therapy pack.
